Gothenburg, Sweden.
Botany Isn’t Dead is a photo/film project exploring the vital role of living plant collections in the context of global climate change at Botaniska Sweden.. Shot during the renovations of Gothenburg Botanical Centre through 2024, it combines drone and digital footage to examine the impact of climate change on native Swedish plants, and the value of Botaniska (The Swedish Living Collection of Plants) in this context.
Through the eyes of Åsa Kruger, the Centre’s Scientific lead curator, it highlights the film emphasizes botany’s critical role in preserving biodiversity and confronting environmental challenges.
